Leah Nakazwe Kooma has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Zambia, effective 1 April 2026, marking a significant leadership transition within one of the country’s leading digital infrastructure providers.
The company, part of Cassava Technologies, says the appointment reflects its continued focus on innovation, connectivity, and digital transformation across Zambia and the wider region.
With more than 20 years of experience spanning telecommunications, financial services, and media, Leah brings a proven track record of leadership and execution.
Her career includes roles at Barclays Bank, Celtel, and as part of the founding team of Vodafone Zambia, where she helped launch Zambia’s first 4G LTE network. She later held senior leadership positions at MultiChoice Zambia, rising to managing director, demonstrating strong capabilities in customer strategy, commercial growth, and operational leadership.
Her appointment comes at a critical time as Liquid accelerates efforts to expand digital infrastructure, connectivity, and enterprise solutions in Zambia.
Leah’s leadership is expected to strengthen the company’s market position while supporting broader national goals around digital inclusion, economic growth, and technological advancement, reinforcing Zambia’s role in Africa’s evolving digital economy.
