For millions of Zambians, MTN Mobile Money has become as ordinary as the morning commute – a quick tap to send school fees, pay for groceries, or support family back home.
But starting this month, that everyday habit could turn into a life-altering fortune.
MTN MoMo Zambia has launched “Wina Nyumba na MoMo” , a five-month nationwide promotion that gives you – the customer – a real shot at walking away with a brand-new house, or cash prizes that could clear your debts, boost your business, or secure your children’s future.
From April to August 2026, every time you deposit money into your MoMo account or carry out a routine transaction – sending money, paying bills, buying airtime or bundles, or making merchant payments – you automatically enter the draw.
The stakes are staggering:
· One lucky winner will receive a fully built house.
· Five winners will each take home K100,000 over the five months.
· Every month, 1,000 customers will win cash prizes of up to K2,000.
That means up to 5,000 Zambians could walk away with something meaningful – from a new roof over your head to extra cash for the month.
‘We are turning dreams into reality’
Speaking at the launch in Lusaka April 9, MTN Mobile Money CEO Komba Malukutila made it personal.
“MoMo has become part of everyday life for millions of Zambians. People rely on it for payments, transfers, school fees, business transactions, and family support. Wina Nyumba na MoMo is our way of saying thank you – by giving customers the chance to win simply for using a service that already makes their lives easier.”
He recalled last year’s promotion, which gave away five brand-new cars.
“The excitement, the joy, and the stories inspired us. This year, we are taking things even further. In 2026, we are turning dreams into reality by giving one lucky customer the chance to win a brand-new home of their own, while thousands more walk away with cash prizes.”
Winners will be contacted via 115 or 215 throughout the promotional period, so keep your phone close.
A boost for financial inclusion – and your household
Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry, Chipoka Mulenga, who was Guest of Honour, underlined how this initiative goes beyond prizes.
“Mobile money continues to serve as a key enabler of financial inclusion by providing access to financial services for individuals, households, and businesses across both urban and rural areas.”
He added that the promotion reflects practical digital innovation that “enhances participation in the formal financial system without creating barriers to entry.”
That means whether you’re a market vendor in Lusaka, a farmer in Copperbelt, or a student in Livingstone – you already have everything you need to enter. No extra fees. No complicated steps.
Building the dream – with local partners
The house prize isn’t just a promise – it’s backed by two heavyweights in Zambia’s construction industry: Micmar Investments Limited and Dangote Cement.
Michael Kroupnik, CEO of Micmar, said owning a home is a milestone his company is proud to help deliver.
“At Micmar, we believe in driving meaningful impact within our communities. We are passionate about supporting initiatives that change lives and build a stronger future for all Zambians. This is why we are proud to partner with MTN on the ‘Wina Nyumba’ campaign.”
With Micmar’s 30,000-plus products and Dangote’s cement expertise, the house prize is not a gimmick – it’s a genuine chance to own a home.
Your move
The promotion is open to all active MoMo customers across Zambia. No special registration required. Simply use MoMo as you normally would – deposit, send, pay, buy – and let the system do the rest.
One transaction could be your ticket to a new address. Another could put K100,000 in your pocket. And even if you don’t win the grand prize, 1,000 monthly winners mean the odds are better than you think.
So go ahead – pay that bill, send that support, buy that bundle. You were going to do it anyway. But now, it might just change your life.
