ZATEX 2026 officially kicks off in Lusaka

The Zambia Travel Expo (ZATEX) 2026 has officially commenced in Lusaka, bringing together tourism stakeholders, exhibitors, investors, travel buyers, and industry leaders from across Zambia and beyond.

The three-day event, taking place from 4th to 6th June at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre, is being held under the theme “Building Authentic and Sustainable Tourism Through Partnerships.” The expo aims to showcase Zambia’s diverse tourism offerings while creating opportunities for business networking, investment, and collaboration within the tourism sector.

ZATEX has grown into Zambia’s premier tourism exhibition, serving as a platform that connects local tourism operators with regional and international buyers. The event also promotes Zambia as a preferred tourism destination while supporting sustainable growth and economic development through tourism.

This year’s expo is expected to feature exhibitions, business-to-business meetings, panel discussions, and networking sessions aimed at strengthening partnerships and unlocking new opportunities in the tourism industry. Industry players are also expected to discuss key issues including destination marketing, investment, innovation, and sustainable tourism development.

As Zambia continues to position itself as one of Africa’s leading tourism destinations, ZATEX remains a vital platform for showcasing the country’s rich natural attractions, cultural heritage, and growing tourism potential.
