We are delighted to announce that FQM Trident Ltd was honoured at the 2025 ICTAZ Tech Excellence Awards and Gala Dinner this past weekend, bringing home the Excellence in Industrial Technology and Automation Award.

This accolade recognises our successful implementation of the FragTrack system—a cutting-edge solution developed by Orica that utilises machine vision and AI to revolutionise our blasting efficiency.

The Challenge:

Traditional fragmentation analysis was labour-intensive and lacked real-time feedback, leading to oversized material and energy inefficiencies. We needed a solution to bridge the gap in our mine-to-mill strategy.

The Solution and Results:

By adopting FragTrack’s autonomous sampling and geospatial tagging, we have turned blasting from a cost centre into a strategic driver for productivity. The results speak for themselves:

53 percent reduction in crusher bridging (2024 vs 2023).

24 percent reduction in specific energy consumption (KWh/t) for primary crushers.

Optimised drill and blast performance through real-time data loops.
