First Quantum Minerals has scooped 1st position under Best Exhibit in a Commercial Hall and 3rd position under Best Environmental Awareness Exhibit at the recently ended 94th Agricultural and Commercial Show in Lusaka.
FQM’s Kansanshi Mining PLC and FQM Trident Ltd put a splendid display of mining operations, environmental management and CSR initiatives that the mining giant ventures in to support communities around Solwezi and Kalumbila Districts.
FQM Trident Public Relations Specialist Mirriam Harmon said the awards are an indication of FQM’s commitment to unlocking Zambia’s Mining Potential and its best practice in management of the environment of the host communities.
This year’s Agricultural and Commercial Show was themed Innovation and Technology.
