Access Bank Zambia has been named Zambia’s Best Bank at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence. The bank also earned top marks for its community and environmental focus, taking home awards for both Best Bank for SMEs and Best Bank for Sustainable Finance.

Commenting on the recognition, Access Bank Zambia Board Chairperson Anne Sampa described the awards as a testament to the Bank’s sustained progress and strategic direction.

“Winning these three Euromoney Awards is a strong endorsement of the progress made in the long-term strategy guiding the Bank’s growth. The awards are the result of years of deliberate investment in strengthening our business, expanding opportunities for our customers and supporting Zambia’s economy,” Sampa said in a statement.

She said the triple recognition affirms Access Bank’s continued commitment to supporting enterprise, expanding access to finance and advancing sustainable economic growth as it reinforces the Bank’s role as a trusted partner contributing to Zambia’s development.

Sampa noted that Access Bank continues to strengthen its position as a trusted banking partner by combining strong financial performance with meaningful impact through support for strategic sectors, trade and investment.

“As we look ahead, we remain focused on creating lasting value and helping shape a more prosperous future for our Bank and our country at large.”

In a meantime, Access Bank Zambia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Iheanyi Nwogu added that as Access Bank Zambia continues to flourish, it remains committed to empowering individuals, supporting businesses and connecting customers to opportunities across Africa and the world through AccessAfrica.
