First Quantum Minerals (FQM) Zambia has been honoured with four prestigious awards by the Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communications (ZIPRC), reaffirming the mining giant’s commitment to corporate excellence, community development, and stakeholder engagement.

The awards were presented during the ZIPRC Annual General Meeting (AGM), where FQM Zambia emerged among the top-performing organizations in the country’s public relations and communications sector.

FQM Zambia received the following accolades:

• Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Management – 1st Prize, in recognition of its outstanding contribution to community development and social impact programmes.

• Best Events Management – 1st Prize, awarded for the successful planning and execution of the Kansanshi Marathon, one of Zambia’s leading sporting and community events.

• Best Social Media Campaign – 3rd Prize, for its impactful Local Content campaign aimed at promoting local business participation and economic empowerment.

• President’s Award, presented in recognition of the company’s continued support and partnership with ZIPRC.

The recognition highlights FQM Zambia’s growing influence beyond mining through strategic communication, sustainable development initiatives, and meaningful engagement with communities and stakeholders.
