In Mufulira, the Mopani Central Training Centre is also approaching completion, ensuring both venues are ready for the international spotlight.

Scheduled to take place from 26 April to 5 May 2026, IMRC 2026 is expected to attract more than 22 teams from across the world. Zambia will be represented by four teams from Mopani Copper Mines, Konkola Copper Mines KCM, Lubambe Copper Mine, and NFCA Mining Plc, showcasing local expertise and reinforcing the country’s strong mining capabilities.

The event will officially open in Kitwe, followed by core competition activities running from 28 April to 2 May at both Kansanshi Mine and Mopani’s training facility. The competition will then conclude in Livingstone, offering a full national showcase of Zambia’s infrastructure and hospitality.
