Ministry of Mines, stakeholders intensify preparations ahead of insaka 2026

The Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development, in collaboration with key stakeholders, has intensified preparations for the upcoming Insaka 2026, scheduled to take place from 19th to 23rd October 2026 in Lusaka.

The five-day event will be held at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre, Kenneth Kaunda Wing, under the theme: “Transforming Africa’s Mining Landscape, Regional Value Chains, Shared Prosperity and Empowering Communities.”

Planning meetings involving the Ministry and various stakeholders have continued as preparations gather momentum, with discussions focusing on coordination, roles and responsibilities, logistics and ensuring effective participation throughout the event.

The Insaka is expected to provide an important platform for government, industry players and other stakeholders to engage on issues affecting Africa’s mining sector, including regional value addition, strengthening value chains and ensuring that mining contributes more meaningfully to communities and economies.

The Ministry and its partners have reaffirmed their commitment to working closely together to ensure that all preparations are completed on time and that the Insaka delivers meaningful outcomes for the mining sector and the communities it serves.

With the event drawing closer, stakeholders are expected to maintain close coordination to ensure a successful, well-organised and impactful Insaka 2026.
