UAE Provides Emergency Food and Medical Aid to Sudanese Refugees in Chad

The United Arab Emirates has launched a major humanitarian relief initiative in Chad, delivering 3,000 food packages to support over 15,000 Sudanese refugees across Dougui, Alacha, and Abougoudam camps.

This vital aid effort, coordinated with Chad’s Ministry of Social Action and CNARR, aims to strengthen food security and improve living conditions amid ongoing conflict and displacement in the region. A UAE medical team was also deployed to Abougoudam camp, offering essential healthcare services.

H.E. Rashid Saeed Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Chad, emphasized the UAE’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian support, regional stability, and international cooperation.

As part of its broader efforts, the UAE has also established three field hospitals—two in Chad and one in South Sudan—to provide continuous medical care for Sudanese refugees.
