Grizzly Mining has enhanced its long-term vision for the growth and sustainability of the Lufwanyama community with the reaffirmation of its dedication to education and recognition of teachers’ invaluable role in shaping Zambia’s future.
On teachers’ day which fell on October 5, 2025, Grizzly Mining poured in K500,000 to sponsor the celebrations for schools within its Lufwanyama.
The sponsorship stands as a clear testament to Grizzly Mining’s belief that education is the most valuable resource a community can possess.
The schools that benefited include Grizzly Primary School, Lumpuma Secondary School, Nkana Secondary School, Nkana Primary School, Chantete Primary School, Mukumbo Combined School and Kansato Primary School.
Others include Fisebaula Primary School, Bulaya Primary School, Kanyafimbolo Primary School, Shimukunmi Secondary School, and St. Mary’s Secondary School.
“Through this initiative, Grizzly Mining Limited celebrates the unwavering commitment, resilience, and passion of teachers who continue to inspire, guide, and empower learners in the face of numerous challenges.
“The company recognises that teachers are not only educators but also mentors and nation-builders whose influence extends far beyond the classroom,” reads the statement.
The mining firm has placed education as one of the most powerful tools for community transformation, and that supporting teachers was a direct investment in the country’s human capital development.
“Teachers are the backbone of every thriving society. By honouring and empowering them, we are laying a strong foundation for a more knowledgeable, capable, and prosperous Zambia,” the Statement further read.
